Liliana "Lili" Vior brings firsthand understanding of the immigrant experience to her work at Meza & Associates, where she practices criminal defense and immigration law. She arrived from Cuba at age eight without speaking English, growing up as the interpreter for her working-class parents and learning early how frightening the legal system can feel for immigrant families. That perspective drives her fierce advocacy today. She graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in just two and a half years while competing on the U.S. News Top 8 Ranked National Trial Team and defending indigent clients, then spent two and a half years as a Colorado Public Defender in Adams and Broomfield counties, handling roughly 2,000 cases, trying 13 misdemeanor trials, and arguing nearly 40 motion hearings, with notable acquittals on assault, harassment, and false imprisonment charges. A naturalized citizen and fluent Spanish speaker, Lili offers culturally sensitive representation that goes beyond translation, recognizing that for immigrant clients a criminal charge can threaten a family's ability to stay together. Outside the courtroom, she teaches yoga at CorePower, volunteers at Attorney Legal Nights, and lives near the Colorado mountains with her husband and young child.
