ABOUT JESSICA

Jessica Meza is the founder and Managing Partner of Meza & Associates, LLC, and the recipient of the 2026 Jonathan Olom Award. For over 18 years, she has represented clients in criminal, family, and immigration matters with skill, compassion, and determination.

Jessica began her career as a Colorado State Public Defender, where she spent 11 years representing adults and juveniles in cases ranging from DUI and theft to sexual assault and homicide. She went on to represent immigrant clients in both criminal court and immigration proceedings, gaining a deep understanding of how criminal charges can affect a person's immigration status. Today she also advises other attorneys whose immigrant clients are facing criminal charges, and she represents families in divorce, child custody, protection orders, and dependency and neglect cases.

As the child of immigrants, Jessica knows how frightening it can be to walk into a courtroom. She founded Meza & Associates to be a place where immigrant families can feel safe and have an attorney they can trust. Her bilingual team provides culturally sensitive guidance in both English and Spanish, and Jessica is a shield and a sword for her clients, no matter the accusation.

Jessica is a leader in Colorado's legal community. She serves on the board of the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar, previously served as Vice Chair of the Colorado Juvenile Defense Center, and has presented for the Colorado Bar Association, the Family Law Institute, the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association, and public defender offices across the state.
